Eng. William Ngabonziza

Managing Director, South Sudan

William joins Inkomoko as the first Managing Director in South Sudan, based in Juba.  He brings in depth knowledge and proven track record in the design and delivery of both humanitarian intervention and development-focused programming. Having lived in Juba for nearly 10 years, most recently, William was country director of Humanitarian Development Consortium, managing a team of more than 300 staff across the entirety of South Sudan.

William has brought together a unique mixture of skills and leadership to the design and delivery of programs serving refugees, IDPs, and citizens of South Sudan. His previous work engages a wide range of partners, including the Government of South Sudan, UN Agencies, USAID, EU/ECHO, NORAD, US State Department/BPRM, the Netherlands Embassy, START Fund, Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC), and various private sector institutions.  He is a certified Emergency Team Leader by the UN Inter-Agency Standing Committee.  And his background in civil engineering and environmental tech, including his roles as operations manager, construction specialist and advisor to numerous projects in East Africa, make him a well-rounded leader to bridge Inkomoko’s humanitarian and private sector approaches to supporting entrepreneurs.
