Safeguarding at Inkomoko
Everyone deserves to feel safe.
At Inkomoko, creating safe environments for our clients, staff, partners, contractors, and the communities we work alongside is fundamental to who we are.
We are committed to preventing abuse, exploitation, harassment, discrimination, and all forms of misconduct. We recognize that power can be misused, and we work intentionally to build a culture where concerns are taken seriously, people are listened to, and everyone can speak up without fear.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. It reflects our values and our commitment to protecting the wellbeing, rights, and dignity of every person connected to our work.
We have zero tolerance for abuse, exploitation, or retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
Our Approach to Safeguarding.
Our approach focuses on both preventing harm and responding appropriately when concerns arise.

Report a Concern:
If you have experienced, witnessed, or suspect behavior that may place someone at risk, we encourage you to report it. Whether the concern involves a client, colleague, partner, contractor, or volunteer, we will treat every report seriously, respectfully, and confidentially.
You can report concerns about:
- Sexual exploitation, abuse, or harassment
- Child abuse, neglect, or exploitation
- Abuse of power, bullying, intimidation, or discrimination
- Financial exploitation, fraud, or requests for unofficial payments or kickbacks
- Retaliation against someone who has reported a concern
- Situations that created a risk of harm, even if no one was injured or abused
- Any other conduct that may violate our safeguarding standards
You do not need to be certain that harm has occurred to report a concern. If something doesn't feel right, we encourage you to speak up.
What Happens After You Report?
Reporting a concern can feel difficult. Our goal is to ensure every person is treated with compassion, fairness, and respect throughout the process.
- Report Received: Share a concern in the way that feels safest for you.
- We Prioritize Safety: If someone is at risk, we act quickly to help protect them.
- Confidential Review: We carefully assess what happened.
- Investigation: If needed, trained staff investigate fairly and confidentially.
- Action & Follow-up: We take appropriate action.
- Learning & Prevention: We learn and improve.
